A glimpse into training and trialing at ODS

Urban Rat Race Gallery

Our latest and best photos of Urban Rat Race. The dogs seem to treat it more like Nosework by the way they indicate the location of a rat to their handler.

It happens Inside, away from "the weather". We reserve this sport for the cooler weather months.

Some dogs have a rat as a friend at home while others don't. Dogs like Cairn Terriers used to looking for rats in Earth Dog or Barn Hunt really like this sport. People learn to "read" their dog and the dog/handler team really develops.

We love to take pictures and show them to the world.

Country Rat Race Gallery

Our latest and best photos of Country Rat Race.

We love to take pictures and show them to the world! This sport happens outdoors; rain or shine in the woods, the pollination gardens, paths and grassy areas of the property. It's a sport open to all breeds.

Some dogs indicate by pointing at the rat. Some bark while others paw at the container. Others like Beckett sing to it. The surroundings have lots of scents for the dogs to discover (Fox, racoon, squirrel, mole, mouse, deer, ...). You get to spend an hour with your dog while working as a team to find where the rat is hiding.
